Good day! I've been using Meguiar's Ultimate Compound for a long time. I bought my first bottle sometime around 2010, and I've continued buying it ever since. One bottle usually lasts me about three (3) years because you don't need very much product to get good results.Every spring, before the summer driving season starts, I go over my entire 2015 BMW 328d and take care of all the little things that have accumulated over the year. Touching up the paint and removing minor scratches, scuffs, and swirl marks is part of that yearly maintenance routine, and this compound has become one of the products I rely on.The results are consistently impressive. A small amount on a foam applicator pad is usually enough to remove light scratches, paint transfer, and other surface imperfections while bringing back a nice shine to the paint. After a couple of passes, the affected area often looks dramatically better and blends in with the surrounding finish.One thing I've learned over the years is to use a clean foam applicator, preferably a brand-new one. Don't reuse a pad that previously had waxes, polishes, or _other products_ on it, since contamination can affect the results. Also, please avoid using paper towels or other rough materials on your paint(!)They can create additional scratches and swirl marks, which defeats the whole purpose of using this product in the first place.This product won't perform miracles on deep scratches that have gone through the clear coat, but for everyday paint defects, it works extremely well. After more than 15 years of using it, I still keep a bottle in my car, another in my garage, and consider it a regular part of maintaining my vehicle's appearance.

Excellent compound for most detail jobs. Great for a DIY. It cuts really well and smoothly. Rubs off easily and leaves minimal haze. Buffer swirls are almost nonexistent if you’re using an orbital DA polisher. Meguiars suggests a polisher speed of 4-5 but I run mine a little lower between 3-4 and I felt like it cut nicer. Follow it up with their Ultimate Finishing Polish and stand back and admire the beauty.

My husband was so graciously driving miss Daisy (me), and hit a parked car backing out of a tight spot. It created bad scratches on both vehicles, while we are paying for the other vehicle to get fixed I wanted to see if this would do anything to help my car look better in the meantime. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked. Obviously there are some deep scratches and paint chipped off but overall 10/10! It was so easy to use and doesn’t not have an odor. I will say I can see some circle spots on the hood of the car where I kept going on to try and find every scratch on the car.

Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound worked exactly as I hoped it would. I recently got a new car and made the mistake of taking it through an automatic car wash. Afterward, I noticed a noticeable white scuff mark on the paint and was pretty frustrated, especially since the car was still new.I decided to give this product a try, and I’m glad I did. With a little effort, the scuff mark came right off and the paint looked great again. It was easy to apply, and I was impressed by how quickly it restored the finish without causing any damage.The results exceeded my expectations and saved me from having to pay for a professional detail. If you have light scuffs, paint transfer, or minor surface imperfections, this product is definitely worth keeping on hand. It worked great for me and helped make my car look new again. C'mon it's a mcguire's product, it works fantastically.I had numerous swirlmarks in my paint, and I used mcguire's products to remove them and they performed flawlessly. The truck looks great now.

Got a broad scratch (about 3in x 1in) that failed the finger nail test from a hose at a self car wash on my new BMW. This stuff buffed it right out. I can't even see or feel it anymore. It was right near the fuel cap door so was pretty easy to spot but this stuff saved me a ton of worry about having to get the panel repainted. I highly recommend this stuff.

It works. Easily buffer out blemishes got from tree branch rubbing along passenger door. Not completely gone, but you’d never notice them now if you didn’t know to look for them.

I was looking for a product and read all the reviews and decided on this one. My car had pretty damaged oxidation. I would give it almost severe on the bumpers and I applied it follow the directions. I did it about three or four times and the stuff worked great don’t expect miracles, but it looks 90% better.

When I started using my spare bedroom as a home office, I kept clipping my car against the garage wall rushing between daycare drop-off and Zoom calls. I bought this to clean up those light scratches on my silver SUV so I don’t feel annoyed every time i walk past it. I wash the area, put a little on a microfiber pad, then rub in small circles. After wiping off, the paint looks smoother and you barely notice the scuffs. Deeper scratches are still faintly there, but for normal door dings and mirror marks it works well. Biggest win was fixing a long scrape from my trash bin before a client visit, which made me weirdly happy. Just be patient and don’t go crazy with pressure bc your arm will get tired.

Bought this to clean up the scratches on my 10-year-old Corolla that I park on the street. The clear coat around the door handles looked tired and I had a long scuff on the rear bumper from a tight parking spot. I used a foam pad, worked a small amount of this compound by hand, then wiped with a microfiber. The scuff blended in way better than I expected and the dull patches around the handles came back glossy. I ended up doing half the hood just to even out the shine and my husband actually asked if I had it detailed. For weekend driveway jobs it fits right into my little trunk detailing tote.

Kinda blown away how well this works!! There were so many marks and scratches on my car that EASILY buffed away after this was applied. The bottle is pretty big for how little you actually need to use to take a mark off. It didn’t leave oddball shiny marks after removing either. Easy application & honestly thrilled it worked so well.

i normally don’t write reviews but DANG! this thing really works. i tried using paint corrector on my brand new car (not even 4 days after getting it) and other methods but this was the only thing that worked. absolute lifesaver.

Again, as a car junkie that has everything and anything to do with upkeep on cars this one is great. I needed something to cut through the oxidation and water spots that were on my current vehicle and this did just that. There's not much more to say about this other than it works well and you won't be dissatisfied. Meguire's ultimate compound really does what you expect from a meguire's product.

I bought this after my buddy’s trekking poles slipped out of my trunk and scraped the bumper on my new car at the trailhead. That white scuff looked huge against the fresh paint and I was pretty annoyed loading my pack. I squeezed some of this on a soft cloth, rubbed for a minute, and the mark faded fast. Paint color still looks the same, just clean again. I liked that I didn’t have to break out any tools or tape things off. Quick wipe, then I headed up the trail feeling a lot better about my car.

Probably not what the fancy detail shops use, but it works well for my little auto glass place. I bought this to clean up light scratches around door handles and where customers keys drag along the paint. Used it on my own work truck first on a Saturday between appointments. Wiped the dust off, a little compound on a foam pad, a few passes by hand, then buffed it off with a microfiber. The gray scuffs by the driver door pretty much vanished and the paint came back shiny. Im glad it saves me from calling a detailer for every small mark.

Someone let my trunk open and I drove into my garage, scraping up the edge of the trunk. There was a several inch long stretch with scratches and dark spots. Someone on reddit suggested I try this and the results were stunning. With less than 10 minutes of moderate pressure rubbing all of the scratches and marks were gone. And I mean completely gone, good as new. Fantastic product!

I got impatient one day and wiped off bird droppings on my brand new car with a very, very wet paper towel. Apparently that was enough to put some superficial swirls and scratches into my paint. I read some reviews and watched some videos about the Ultimate Compound. I didn’t even think to take a before picture because I figured I’d just take the L and have it buffed out professionally. I washed the area, dried it very well, and did about 2-3 passes with a foam applicator. Completely gone and looks brand new! Meguiars has always produced quality stuff and I use their products when I detail my car. This was my first experience with the Ultimate compound and I am beyond floored. It was incredibly simple and produced results that were well beyond my expectations!
