Just Buy It !!!!

Must Have !!! This product works wonders, was skeptical to purchase at first but even the reviews don’t do it justice enough unless you’ve tried it for yourself!!

Read my review!! I thought it was junk too but IT WORKS!!

Not many real/decent reviews on this. I was at first skeptical because I didn't have any media to try out on my Brembo calipers. I had baking soda in the kitchen and gave that a whirl. Did absolutely nothing. I was very disappointed. Read online that someone tired salt. Gave that a whirl, nothing.... Mad after reading other reviews and still optimistic I didn't give up yet.Not having a Tractor Supply or Harbor Freight near by, I decided to do what everyone says not to do...I went to Home Depot and bought play sand!!!!**I do not condone or am advising using sand because it can cause serious damage to your lungs from the silica**I figured it was worth a try and only $4 for 50lbs and right across the street from my house, why not.The result was surprising!! It made me start to believe this gun. I think a big problem is that the media control valve is misleading. It says on, or off. Never having sand blasted before I didn't know that regulating the amount that comes out of the gun does make a difference!! When I first started with the baking soda and salt, it was wide open. Tried salt again with the valve only slightly open and it actually did some removal. As you can see from the pictures this gun did its job. The sand is a little but too abrasive for the alluminum but IT WORKS!! Using 90-120lbs of pressure this gun ABSOLUTELY WORKS.Use the right material and the right amount of air to material ratio and you have yourself an at home sandblaster. Now, the next step is to get non harmful abrasive to my lungs and an open area to complete the job.

Worked Great

Needed to clean up the evaporative cooler and this worked great. As others have said, need to refill it a bunch of times if you have a large job. Other than that, it did what it needed to do with no complaints from me.

It was exactly what I was looking for in a small version

Was exactly what I was looking for it was a gift for a friend that don’t accept money so I bought him this hand sand blaster for small things which Hill need for doing small things so he doesn’t have to get out the big sand blaster

Great tool

Sanded down an old shotgun, and it really surprised me at the good job it did, I thought the nozzle tip was a little large as it used a lot of particles, but it did what I bought it for ; No complaints

Great for small project areas

used to blast some rust/corrosion spots off a jet ski trailer. It took time to do to only being able to do about 1/4 inch area at a time but the bolt heads are grey again and it's ready for a new paint job. Good for small areas, don't expect to sandblast a whole trailer or vehicle with it. I used a 20 gallon vertical air compressor to power it

Great for small projects!

This sand blaster works great for small projects. It sprays the sand blasting material on evenly. It may take longer to complete a project if using a smaller air compressor like a pancake style one as the take can't keep up with the air demand.

Worked well

Used to sand hard to reach details in furniture and it did the job well. Much better than sanding by hand. My husband warned me that this would make a mess, but I had no idea. It took a lot of product for a very small area, but also would admit some of that might have been user error. It never clogged up on me, and I have other projects I am going to try this on with a different media to see if it works a little better for me.

What a great little product!

I needed to sandblast some small parts and antique tools that had rusted. I took them to a local machine shop that does that sort of thing and they quoted me $150.00. YIKES! So I went to AMAZON and found this little device. I already had a air compressor so I ordered this sandblaster. It works great for cleaning up small projects! I realized that I didn't have any blasting medium when it arrived. NO PROBLEM! It comes with a screen. You can use it to sift the fine sand in your kid's sandbox to do your little jobs Bigger projects - I would order some blasting medium togo with this great tool. It requires about 90 Psi from your compressor to really be effective, so you will need an air tank with some volume to work properly. A portable DeWalt with two tanks like the one I have would work fine (or larger). For this price, this is a handy tool to have in any workshop. A great gift for the handyman!

Easy to try blastig

I chose this to try my hand at sandblasting. I have several rusty parts from a car project and thought this blaster would be a inexpensive tool to try out sandblasting. The unit looks light duty for occasional use and easy to use. Also, looked like it would be compatible with the capacity of my smallish compressor.Good user manual. Only confusion is the strainer basket which shipped installed inside under cap, but no reference to its use/purpose in manual. I will reach out to customer service. Will update review when have given it a test run.

Customer service top-notch, blaster easy to use - compressor not spec for but worked great

Sand Blaster as described and easy to use. My project was to blast outdoor aluminum furniture in preparation for painting. I used Black Beauty Abrasive Blast Media Extra Fine abrasive 30/60 mesh. In hindsight I could have used a larger abrasive. If you have a large project you'll be wishing the hopper was a bit larger - only means more refills.Note, my compressor was on the smaller size, being a 1.6 hp, 20 gal tank, and 4.0 SCFM @ 90 psi. I did not have any problems at all using this blaster with the hopper. As my air started to run out, my abrasive in the hopper also ran out. After stopping and refilling the hopper, the compressor filled back to full pressure (120 psi).

Impressed!

I am so please with this thing. My son wanted to repaint some old rims but did want to remove the tires from the rims (yes, I know). He actually did a pretty good job with acetone and scrapping, but it took a LOT of elbow grease and still left many "spots". We ordered some black sand here and tried this out. It worked! And nicely too. I agree with other reviewers, it makes a bit of a mess (not the same if you are used to using a cabinet) but the potability! (I can't fit a tire rim into any cabinet I can afford). Next time I am going to find sand colored sand (yes, I know), so it hides better in the grass. Very pleased with results!
