On, you have to peel the garlic clove first. Two, getting the remaining garlic clove out of the bottom of the press is difficult. I used the pressure of my kitchen faucet. Luckily I have enough water pressure for it to remove the remaining garlic. It would be better if it came with a tool to clean out the holes in the bottom of the press. Otherwise it works well. The tolerances are tight enough that you don't get garlic leaking out of the top.

I’m glad I finally made this purchase after having it in my cart for so long it truly is life-changing and it’s super easy to use. I don’t have to worry about my potatoes not being fully mashed.

Easy to use and clean. Don't need hand strength with the screw approach to pressing the garlic. I have 2 of these and like them.

I love this ricer. After having the older metal masher for decades, this ergonomic ricer made mashed potatoes easy and actually, dare I say it, enjoyable. Super easy to use after missing the right insert places a few times, and it didn’t require a ton of energy to use.As someone with carpal tunnel and a kiddo that is working on his upper body strength, this rover was great for my hands and easy enough to use that my son enjoyed it! I love garlic more than life itself! I cook with it daily! I put it on or in EVERYTHING (be careful eating the chocolate cake at my house). :) So, I've gone through a LOT of different garlic presses over the years. Seriously, a LOT of them! I've tried nearly every design on the market. So, don't take this lightly: This is easily THE BEST GARLIC PRESS I have EVER used! It's easy to use. You can crush a LOT of cloves at once. It is easy to clean! It (so far) is very durable! This product is a WINNER! And, coming from me, that's a real endorsement!

Deadass one of the best kitchen purchases I made. This thing makes ricing potatoes mad easy with almost no effort, and cleanup is quick too. Super simple to use, feels solid in the hands, and doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. Turned my mashed potatoes smooth as hell with no lumps. If you cook a lot or just care about good mashed potatoes, this is a no-brainer. Definitely worth the bread — easy 5 stars.

This thing is terrific, absolutely terrific. I was able to get rid of TWO inferior hand appliances—my old metal potato ricer which had gotten rusty and grody, but also my citrus squeezer, because this works even better. And this is easier to clean than either of the tools I got rid of.I make mashed potatoes (a nearly perfect food as long as you don't add fat or animal protein to them—I use a bit of Morton's Lite Salt and some unsweetened almond milk to make mine) much more often now, and it's thanks to this. A+, thumbs up, five gold stars.

It’s larger than expected and heavy. With effort, it works exactly as needed.

GLORIOUS mashed potato’s. My girl was feeling come potato’s the other day but didn’t want to go through the whole mashing process by hand so we ended up ordering out. I bought this for her that evening and we’ve been eating the best homemade mashed potato’s since. It is a bit pricey, but feels so sturdy the quality and material are top tier, like it’ll last a lifetime quality, amazing. The clean up after is also so easy, would recommend a thousand times again.

I’m about to order my second one of these, though admittedly, not after looking for an alternative. First one lasted a year and a few days, and I’m really disappointed it hasn’t lasted longer. I really think that because these are similar in price to a lot of metal ones that hold up for years, these should last longer. But I do use it daily, so take that into consideration. It lasted me about 370 days. And I’ll add the reason I choose this over those hinged metal ones (I used to have one for many years) is that it’s important to me to be able to run it through the dishwasher and this one requires less effort to mash the lemon more effectively.Pros: Works really well, easy to use, gets every drop of juice, easy to clean (dishwasher safe)Cons: 1. broke just after a year. One of the plastic pieces that secures the two parts together snapped off. I feel like it should last longer, but I do use it daily.2. Hard to store. It’s incredibly large and bulky. I’m glad I use it every morning because it comes out of the clean dishwasher, gets used at breakfast, and then goes right back in. (I drink warm lemon water each morning.) If I had to find a place to store it in my tiny kitchen, it would be a problem.3. There’s nothing to catch seeds or bits of pulp, and they do fall through the large holes. My workaround is I set this juicer in a small tea strainer that fits in the top of my mug. The tea strainer catches seeds and any bulky pulp bits.
